Some of us have been here since Dr Jane’s very first visit to Singapore, some of us are brand new to the team. You’ll learn more about our structure, leadership and working groups below. For opportunities to get involved, keep an eye on our volunteering and internship pages, join us at one of our upcoming events to get connected, or write to us to share your ideas and tell us how you’d like to contribute to continuing Dr Jane’s global work with us.
JGIS exists only through the amazing work of our committed volunteers. We have nine committees overseeing JGIS.
Volunteer on an ad-hoc basis, depending on events.
Roots & Shoots (R&S) empowers young people to do their part in solving human, animal welfare and environmental problems in their communities.
The Community Management team is responsible for recruiting, selecting, managing and empowering the potential and current volunteers and interns who drive JGIS.
The outreach and marketing team is responsible for managing our communication channels and publicising our programmes, events and causes.
The fundraising team engages the public and private individuals via campaigns and events while exploring strategic partnership opportunities with corporations, foundations and other government entities.
The Primates team oversees our tri-monthly monkey walks, monkey guards programme and Raffles’ banded langur citizen science surveys.
